I have been interested in the arts since childhood. Watercolor became my medium of choice because I like the fluidity and unpredictability it brings to a painting as well as the myriad textural illusions. It can be challenging at times but then there are those “happy accidents” you don’t get with other mediums. Living in a part of the country with four seasons and on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay brings a great amount of inspiration to my work. Water and boat scenes, birds, animals, flowers, landscapes and sunsets are some of my favorite subjects.
I continue to take watercolor classes and workshops at the Art League School in Alexandria VA and have been juried into many of the Art League Gallery all media shows. I am an associate member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society.
